“A friend of mine, who was a manager at Aconex, made it his mission to recruit me. I was actually competing against Aconex at the time but he got my interest when talking about the culture and the growth the company was going through. It was clearly a company that was going places and I wanted to be involved.
“My previous experience had been more on the technical side – either involved in customer support or implementation. Aconex put me in a Sales role, as they felt that my experience in the technical side would help me to be a better salesperson.
“After about six months, I secured the account of one of the largest property developers in the Middle East, which was exciting and challenging in equal measures. The accomplishment of securing large clients isn’t lost on the company, the support and recognition I get from everyone is always fantastic.
“Working here has allowed me to interact with a truly professional and knowledgeable group of people. Everyone is always willing to support me and my decisions, which is always great, and the team has helped me to close many deals.
“The opportunity to meet so many different people and be involved with such varied projects means that there’s never a dull moment. There are constantly new challenges, but that’s what makes my job interesting and rewarding.”
