Aconex is providing its online document management and collaboration solution to the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Developed by one of the world’s largest gaming companies, Las Vegas Sands, the Marina Bay Sands features three 50-storey hotel towers with 2,560 hotel rooms and Singapore's first casino. The project also includes 1.2 million square feet of convention space, one million square feet of retail space and three entertainment venues capable of accommodating over 52,000 people.
Since the project began in late 2006, the web-based Aconex platform has been used by 4,000 people from 300 organizations to manage project information during design and construction. To date, team members have stored and exchanged more than 7 million documents and 20 million mail items using the system.
The development will be crowned by a one hectare Sky Park bridging across the towers. The Sky Park offers panoramic 360-degree views of Singapore’s Skyline. It also features spas and restaurants, gardens, swimming pools, jogging tracks, an Arts and Sciences Museum, theaters and parking for over 4,000 cars.
