Nui Phao Open Pit Mine - Vietnam
The Nui Phao open pit mine, based in northwest Vietnam, will enable Tiberon/Nui Phao JV to become one of the largest suppliers of tungsten and acid-grade fluorspar in the world. Tungsten is used in the hard facing of drill bits and in filaments for light bulbs; whilst acid-grade fluorspar is converted into refrigerants. Other products will be bismuth, copper and gold, but in smaller quantities.
Aconex is providing on-the-ground training and support to the owner in Canada, the mining site in Vietnam, and the main consultant in Australia.
