Qantas Baggage Screening Systems - Australia

In 2005, the Federal Government introduced legislation to change how checked baggage was screened on all flights within and originating from Australia.
Qantas, Australia's premier airline, used Aconex to assist control documentation associated with the nation-wide project of infrastructure development required to comply with legislative requirements.
The upgrade program was implemented in eight airports across Australia, and involved 130 organizations and multiple internal stakeholders. Because each airport had different project managers and participants, continuity of information and effective collaboration were key. Aconex provided a full audit trail that satisfied security requirements, and a comprehensive archive of mail & documents.
"This was a program of many projects, and Aconex was the perfect tool because we could set up each project separately. The convenience of having all emails and documents together and accessible saves time, and control is increased because we can identify what's needed for each individual project. Aconex functionality is straightforward and the system is easy to use." - Scott Ifield, Qantas Property Development Manager
