Taghazout Resort - Morocco
Aconex has been selected to provide its online information management service the first phase of the US$2 billion Taghazout resort development near Agadir in Morocco.
The Taghazout resort will be situated along five kilometers of beach, 15 kilometers north of Agadir, and will include several five-star hotels and upmarket residential areas. There will be two golf courses, health spas, and a village center with retail facilities, restaurants and nightlife. The first residential units, hotel and golf course are expected to open at end of 2009.
The resort is being developed as a joint venture between the American private equity company Colony Capital, and Grupo Satocan from the Canary Islands. The project team includes architects and consultants based in the US, the UK, Australia, France, Thailand, Morocco, South Africa and the Middle East.
