Aconex wins awards for product, innovation and workplace
Aconex has collected three awards for its product, innovation and quality as an employer.
The company’s online information management service was named ‘Best Industrial Application’ in Victoria at the 2009 iAwards, Australia’s premier ICT industry awards, and progresses to the national finals this month. Companies were judged on a range of criteria including the uniqueness, functionality and quality of their IT applications, as well as their potential for growth and market share. Aconex was also named in Australian Anthill magazine’s Smart 100 list, which recognizes Australia’s 100 most innovative products.
The Great Places to Work 2009 list acknowledges Australia’s top 50 workplaces. Companies are assessed by external judges and their own employees with regard to their credibility, fairness, pride and respect within the workplace.
Leigh Jasper, Aconex Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, said, “Two of our core values are innovation and maintaining a vibrant work environment. To promote innovation, we encourage staff to use their initiative and to step outside their day-to-day remit without the fear of making mistakes. Our software engineering team, for example, regularly takes time out to explore new thinking and technologies. They can make significant discoveries in this non-work time, some of which have been developed and deployed as enhancements to the Aconex platform.”
Jasper added. “We are also very pleased to be named as one of Australia’s top workplaces. Regardless of where our people are located, we try to ensure that they have the same opportunities to contribute to their full potential, develop in their roles and, hopefully, enjoy coming to work each day.”
