Khansaheb Implements Aconex on Dubai Hotel Development
Aconex has been selected by Khansaheb Civil Engineering LLC to provide its online collaboration system to the $80 million East Hotel development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The system will be used to reduce the use of paper documents and streamline communication between Khansaheb, the head contractor, and its project partners.
Martyn Moore, East Hotel Project Coordinator at Khansaheb Civil Engineering LLC, said: “Aconex enables all project participants to view, track and share their information at any time and from any location. It proves to be an environmentally friendly system, due to its ability to reduce the volume of paperwork on projects.”
The East Hotel is located at the Mall of the Emirates development in Dubai. The development will be a 25-storey, four-star resort that will include 500 rooms and a two-storey retail complex. It will also feature restaurants, a business centre, meeting rooms and a leisure deck.
Khansaheb Civil Engineering LLC, www.khansaheb.ae, has been operating in the United Arab Emirates for 72 years. Other projects include DWTC Zabeel Exhibition Hall, Raffles Hotel at the Wafi City and the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort.
Mall of the Emirates is the largest shopping centre outside of North America. The 223,000 square meter center offers a full range of shopping, leisure, and entertainment. It is home to over 450 retailers and also features Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski destination in the Middle East.
