Mota-Engil and Aconex sign worldwide cooperation agreement
Technology firm Aconex has signed an agreement with Mota-Engil, one of Portugal’s largest economical conglomerates and #1 Construction Group. The deal will see Mota-Engil use the Aconex online project collaboration platform during their tender and preliminary stage projects worldwide.
Aconex is a web-based system used to manage project information such as drawings, documents and correspondence. Through using the system, Mota-Engil and its project partners will be able to access, distribute, track and archive their data in real time using a single, common platform.
Mota-Engil has operations across 17 countries in Europe, Africa and the Americas, and has used Aconex on a number of projects across Portugal.
Director of Innovation at Mota-Engil, said: “Especially during our tender and preliminary stage works, our projects will generate large volumes of information that we need to accurately manage. Using Aconex will ensure that we have a secure database of our files, which any of our teams can access. This will make it a lot easier to locate what we need quickly, and share it with our project partners both in Portugal and around the world.”
