Letter to Customers and Partners
Dear Aconex Customers and Partners,
I am writing to you to share some important news. On December 18, 2017, Aconex announced that it has entered into a binding Scheme Implementation Deed to be acquired by Oracle.
Together, Aconex and Oracle will provide the world’s most comprehensive cloud offering for managing all aspects of construction projects. The combination will enable us to bring end-to-end, digital, cloud based solutions to our customers around the world to help them effectively plan, build and operate large-scale projects.
Rob Phillpot and I, as co-founders, are excited by the opportunity with Oracle to advance our collective vision on a larger scale, and by the benefits to you, our customers, that we know this combination will deliver.
Oracle is committed to protecting and enhancing customer investments in Aconex solutions. Following transaction close, Aconex will become part of Oracle’s Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit. We expect that Oracle’s continued investment in Aconex will deliver more functionality and capabilities at a quicker pace, as well as provide better integration and alignment with Oracle’s other product offerings.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2018, subject to Aconex shareholder approval, certain regulatory approvals, and other customary closing conditions.
Until that time, it’s business as usual. You should continue to engage with your existing Aconex account team with any questions or visit aconex.com/Oracle for more information.
We are excited for what the future holds and we sincerely appreciate your continued support.
