Aconex keeps OHL-FCC JV on track with Toronto subway extension

As a key component of the C$2.6-billion Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension, this development involves construction of twin tunnels at the northern end of the new subway and the Highway 407 station. Funded by provincial, federal and municipal governments, the project is adding six new stations and three new commuter parking lots.

  • 88-90% reduction in days required for communications with third parties, with turnaround time down from 25-28 days to 3 days. 
  • 50-66% reduction in days required for change management, from 21 days to 5-7 days. 
  • Savings of 8,900 kilograms (19,621 pounds) of paper and $13,350 in associated administrative costs.  
  • Annual savings of $396,000 in indirect costs, with the number of project coordinators reduced by half.
