  • Requirement for multiple hard copies of every document – more than 200,000 individual documents and growing.
  • Bidding requirement for nine separate contract books.

Solutions

  • Online collaboration platform connecting all participants project-wide.
  • Management, tracking and distribution of multiple copies of required paperwork, including updated design drawings.
  • Management of the complex and paper-intensive bidding process.
  • Registration of all communications, revisions and contract changes in a timely manner.
  • Full audit trail with a comprehensive project history in the event of disputes or future claims.

Results

  • 80% efficiency improvement in the bidding process, reduced from 30 days to 5-7 days.
  • 96% acceleration in design review cycles, from 3-4 days to 3-4 hours.
  • 88-90% reduction in days required for communications with third parties, with turnaround time down from 25-28 days to 3 days.
  • 50-66% reduction in days required for change management, from 21 days to 5-7 days.
  • Savings of 8,900 kilograms (19,621 pounds) of paper and $13,350 in associated administrative costs.
